How we use the interest questions

The activity questions in Part 2 are the 60 activities of the O*NET Interest Profiler Short Form, worded exactly as O*NET wrote them. We use them as O*NET intends, as one input to career planning. For you, that career decision is business ownership.

  • Each activity is rated on a five-point scale (strongly dislike to strongly like) and the six interest scores are the sums, as in O*NET's computer version of the Short Form.
  • Activities are shown a few at a time in a mixed order. This changes only how the questions are displayed.
